are collaborating

on

the writing

and

illustration

of a

picture book

about

love

and

heartbreak. 

​

 

Written in the tradition

of magical realism,

the story approaches

heartbreak

as something

expansive,

surreal,

and

worthy of attention.

The work combines

photographic fragments

with digital illustration

to create a

surreal collage

that reflects the

fragmented,

non-linear nature

of longing

and grief. 

​

 

By giving heartbreak

narrative weight

and visual presence,

the book asserts

that feeling deeply

is not a source of shame,

but rather part of

the human experience.
